Quinta da Taipa is an entirely renovated venue with an own architechture, which maintain the particular aspects of the season and the region, combining also tradition and modernity. It’s integrated in a great natural beauty area, located in Alenquer, 30 km from Lisbon, with good roads and accesses. Has a quite quiet and woody outdoor space, where you could find gardened and illuminated areas. it offers a personalized decoration, elegant and refined.
We had the honour to document Nuno and Bárbara's wedding last June and it was a magical experience. for us, we had been dreaming of shooting at this venue because we knew it offered so many photographic opportunities; natural light, open spaces and of course, these guys!
Bárbara got ready in the suite, while Nuno came from Lisbon by car. She were helped by her friends and bridesmaid.
The religious ceremony took place in the beautiful Basìlica de Santa Quitéira, just a few kilometers from Alenquer, was built by the fraternity of Santa Quitéria de Meca, in the mid-18th century, under the royal protection of Dona Maria I. Santa Quitéria is a perfect model and example of neoclassical architecture with its roots to be found in the building work undertaken at the convent of Mafra. It bears a close stylistic resemblance to the Basílica da Estrela and the Basílica de Santo António da Sé, both of which are contemporary buildings.
We also had a chance to work with talented Wedding Planners Outlux.
